I'm in the middle of reading a book by David Dale.
This book is about a collection of his journeys in many landscapes of ideas.
He
pointed few places where he experienced political journey, religious
pilgrimage, artistic journey, scientific investigation, psychoanalytic
journey, scent exploration, musical progression in various countries and
cities from Europe to Asia and Australia.
He
talked about talented and influential people, such as van Gogh,
Vivaldi, Karl Marx, or Archimedes even Frank Llyod Wright and their
background and interaction with the world.
David Dale tried to lock the topic in one single key word: 'darshana'.
It means 'the mysterious ecstasy generated in the presence of a holy place'.
He was just want to find the darshana at those places he has visited.
And, he wrote the experiences to help readers to understand the modern world from the history point of view.
It made me think about my own terminology during traveling.
Landscape? Building? Bridge? Wisdom? Lowly people? Flowers (as usual)? or any other thing?
